Our Story

In February 2024, the ministry coordinator of our Church asked if I could build a couple of sedilia for the priests our Church.ÂÂ A few weeks after completing the sedilia, I was asked by a parishioner to build a Prie Dieu. Â I was asked later by the Church to build several other items including tabernacles, gradins, and a server bench.

Thus began an adventure into the world of liturgical furnishings and what has become Decorem Woodworks, makers of Prie Dieu and Fine Liturgical Furnishings.
But my story with woodworking began in 2012 building my son a loft bed, followed by an entryway bench for my wife, and an organ bench for my daughter a month prior to the sedilia, with various small items along the way.Â
Ultimately, this is God’s story, using my hands for His greater glory and “Building Cathedrals One Piece at a Time”.
